11 years ago, my 3rd grade elementary school classroom saw iPads for the first time. Sitting in glass cases under lock and key, they begun the technological transformation of education for students all around New York State.

Within the month, they were taken care of. I had "hacked" into the district IT ecosystem. Suddenly I had permission to go to any website, download any app or software, and edit any settings I wanted - on any device in the district.

Years later, going into my sophomore year of college, I had the opportunity as an intern to witness the behind-the-scenes of the very district technology department I had bypassed so long ago.

Honestly, I'm proud of what I've accomplished these past 3 months. Knowing that the district website's sitemap that once had 297 links is now at less than 34 is calming. A new, optimized, upgraded, clean and compact website now stands for parents, district staff, and new families to explore.

Accessibility increased, RTL and multilingual support were enhanced, and I've lost count of how many broken links were cleaned up. An abundance of new features were added that will help visitors easily find what they're looking for and staff to share specific page sections on flyers.

Apart from my work on the website, I was (re)introduced to various infrastructure, software, and tools used in the district - including the same ones from 11 years prior.
